Chapter 5. Inflight Performance

Following the Ulysses launch on October 6, 1990, the covers of the HISCALE instrument were deployed on 3 November, and the instrument was turned on for operation on 14 November, 1990. Operation since turn-on has been nominal, with all elements of the instrument system performing as designed, tested, and calibrated.
