Appendix 9  Geometric Factor Study for the Deflected and Unscattered Electrons of HISCALE (Buckley MS Thesis)

 

 

In order to find the geometric factor for this deflection system, the number of particles that escape the system must be determined for each DAi. These numbers also depend on the energy of the particle as does G.  Shown below are the number of escaped particles, denoted npas in the programs, that escape through the open aperture for the Trial 10 B-field.  The format used is identical to that of the figure in Section A9-6.  Note the symmetry about the y' axis.
