Appendix 9  Geometric Factor Study for the Deflected and Unscattered Electrons of HISCALE (Buckley MS Thesis)

Shown here are all the escaping trajectories for three starting coordinates for particles in the z = 0 plane.  The B-field used is Trial 10.  The software has been designed such that the starting point can be anywhere in three-dimensional space.  This allows for the check for electron contamination of the ion detector located at the base of the LEMS30 telescope.  For this particular geometry, it was found that only very energetic electrons (E>400 keV) were able to make it to the ion detector.
