Appendix 7. LAN EDR Interface Specification
Applicable Document: International Solar Polar Mission Software Interface Specification, Experiment Data Record, ISPM-MOS-SIS-2SB, January 3, 1984.
(Excerpted for brevity and specificity to LAN investigation.)
A7.1 Detailed Interface Specifications: Structure and Organization Overview
Except for the HUS and STO EDRs, the EDR written to magnetic tape shall consist of one file of records. If no IBM magnetic tape label (see Section A7.8) has been requested, tapes will begin with the first data record. The end of the file will be designated by two end-of-file tape marks. EDR tapes are written in binary integer format and consist of a set of records each beginning with Standard Formatted Data Unit (SFDU) header and followed by the experiment data block.
